My Story

Hey! I am Iris , just turn 40  and on the 7th of December  I will be ticking off a big dream in my bucket list , Running the Valencia Marathon , my childhood town ! 

This will be my second marathon ever , and although I have done lots of running since I was a kid this marathon is very close to my heart as I will be running in the streets I grew up in Spain !

This time I am aiming to raise some money for a very important charity,  MS Dorset .

I decided to raise money to help out this charity after Sarah and I starting working together in the gym , helping Sarah to strengthen her upper body which will allow her to get back driving and keep being independent on a daily basis .

I have known Sarah for nearly 15 years . Sarah suffers with MS ( multiple sclerosis) and she is now in a wheelchair. 

When I first met Sarah , she was coming regularly to the local leisure centre I work , she swam and used the gym few times per week.

Over the years I have seen Sarah slowly deteriorating due to the condition, losing strength , mobility and functionality of the muscles .

Sarah has recently started a local MS group based in Bridport for people who suffer from MS to get together and share their experiences.

The money raised will be going towards paying for equipment and activities offered to people who suffer MS to help ease the obstacles they come across on a daily basis. 

Sarah and I would really appreciate if you could help us with this .
